It's Just a Number -- Crafty Sentiments Designs

Hi Everyone!!
Don't worry... It's just a number!!
Yes, there are only a few days left until Christmas,
but what I really mean is that BIRTHDAYS are only just a
number and you are only as old as you feel or let yourself believe!!

Our theme this week on the challenge blog is: "Birthdays"
and it will actually run until January 6th to give the DT some time off
to get ready for and celebrate the holidays with their families and friends!!

This super cool guy is:  Doctor - Tobey and I couldn't help but make
a humorous card with this one!!  :) When I learned that the challenge was going
to be "Birthdays" I knew that I wanted to go with fun and silly -- kind of like me.  ;) ;)

I hope you like my fun little mini card!!
This week is going to be crazy nuts with family pics,
school room mom stuff like the holiday party, and of course
the regular hullabaloo that comes with the upcoming holiday!!
I really hope that I can keep my head above water this time around...
It's my first holiday season as a crafter and I don't know how you all do it!!

Here are the colors that I used:
Upper left: hair and shoes --Upper right: khaki pants & headband
Lower left: medical bag -- Lower left: shirt, metal stuff, & shadows

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Here Come the Boys: Anything Goes - Boys
613 Avenue Create: Anything Goes/CAS
Artistic Inspirations: #72 Anything Goes
Love to Create: #96 Anything Goes
My Craft Creations: Anything Goes
Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes
Make it Monday: Anything Goes

I wish everyone the best of luck this week with their holiday preparations!!
I'm certain that 2014 will bring lots of new and exciting changes
and I can't wait to share the news with all of you!!
This is my last DT required card, but I'm
hoping to get a few "for fun" ones
in before the end of 2103!!
to all of you!!

Warm Winter Wishes -- YNS Fun Friday & CANDY WINNER !!!!!

Hi Everyone!!
Happy Friday to YOU!!!
I have a super cute image for you today

Here is Sweet Dreams and I colored her up with copics
and some of my fave blue-green shades of Shin-han makers!!

On my card, I also used 2 other YNS products:  the Warm Winter Wishes clear stamp set
and the Gumdrops in Ivory at the bottom of my image panel.   :) :) :)

For this month's challenge you can use the inspiration pic, the sketch, or you can make
a fun fusion of both!!   I chose to use the inspiration pic for my card.  :) :)
I loved the deeper shades in the background and the pop of
yellow in the corner.  :) :)  The frosty look in the pic
also lends itself to the frosty night on my DP.

We hope that you will pop over to the challenge blog to join in with us this month!!
There is a fabulous prize and you could also be the next Guest Designer
chosen to work with YNS for an upcoming stamp release!!

The colors for skin & hair are in the upper 2 quadrants.
The colors for her pajamas and the candle are in the bottom 2.

My Blog Candy winner is: SHARLA!!!!!

Time to Chill -- Crafty Sentiments Digi Blog Hop

Hi there!!
Welcome to the
Crafty Sentiments Digi Blog Hop!!

This is Day 2 of the hop and if you have been hopping along,
you have already picked up some letters to make a phrase.

Today I am showcasing the new digi image called, "Day Dreaming" and
he just makes me smile!!  The sentiment is exactly my life right now and all
of my friends keep saying the exact same thing to me.  Maybe someday...??  LOL!!

I kept my design very CAS and just used a die cut and a
wavy sentiment (it comes that way!) to give my card some movement.  :) :)

I don't usually include my skin tones in my marker pic because
I use the same colors on each card, but someone asked
me what my fave skin tones are so here you go:
E000, E00, E21, E04, E11, & R11 for blush
For shading, I picked the warm grays
and added them for cast shadows
around his clothes and body.
Hope that helps!!  :) :)

If you have been hopping along you have arrived from
Céline's blog.

The letter that you need to collect

Little Toy Elf -- Guest Designer for Color Me Creative and Scrapping 4 Fun

Hope you are well !! :)
This card was a fun crafty
fusion of 2 guest spots that came
together very nicely into one sweet little
holiday card for one of my girls or their teachers.
They haven't quite decided if we are keeping her or not.

I was asked to Guest Design for the Scrapping 4 Fun Challenge blog
as well as the Color Me Creative Classroom and the 2 challenges went
together very nicely.  The Color Me Creative Classroom provided me with this
sweet image and the Scrapping 4 Fun Challenge gave me a color palette to work from.

This little cutie is a sweet digi from Digi My World called Little Elf
and she reminds me of a toy in one of the holiday cartoons
that my girls see on TV during this time of year, but
I don't really know her name.  I colored her as if
she were a toy and didn't have actual hair,
but rather that plastic helmet one piece
hair that most toys have. Think
Lego hair!!!  LOL!!  :) :)

At the Color Me Creative Classroom it's ANYTHING GOES!!!

It's a color challenge this week over at Scrapping 4 Fun
and you are to use 3 of the 5 colors on your project.
I chose to use the green, white, & gray
because my red is a little brighter.

Here are the colors that I used for my card.
I use both shin-han touch brush markers (white case)
and mix them amongst my copics for some added depth of color.
There is also a Spica glitter pen in there for the sparkle on her clothes.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Crafty Creations Challenges: #24 Ready for the Holidays
Addicted to Stamps and More: #72 Make Your Mark
Bearly Mine: #113 Christmas & Traditional Colors
Without Words: Getting Ready For Christmas
